65. Is the Commission intending to replace existing (e.g. sectoral) standards?

No. There is no such intention. Instead, the Data Act requires that sectoral specification should only be developed based on a careful assessment of those sectors’ specific needs. In addition, the Data Act should be without prejudice to more specific EU rules, such as in the context of the development of common European data spaces.
